Hiking a 700-mile Sierra section of the Pacific Crest Trail was a highlight of the year. We hiked from Chester, just south of Mount Lassen, to Kennedy Meadows, five days south of Mount Whitney.
The hike was our first long distance lightweight backpacking trip. We'll never forget the Yosemite Hinterlands, Iva Bell Hot Springs, Evolution Basin or sunrise on Mount Whitney.
